Happy new Year back to you!!

To answer your question as simply as possible, red and white wines go with the foods of the food triangle.

To get more detailed would require an epistle I'm not about to write, because many have been written already. Plus, I am not a writer nor even a subject matter expert.

Go to your local book store or your local library and look for wine and food related books. You will find at least a score that will give you information on wine and food pairings. Many will also suggest particular wineries and wines for particular foods or meals.

Good luck in your research.

You can also puruse the Wine/Food Affinities Forum here on this web site. In addition there is information available at Wine Spectator's Web Site and at Robin Garr's The Wine Lover's Web Site.

Mr D's suggestion to visit Robin Garr's site is right on. They have a very good Food/Wine pairing section as well as some decent vintage charts. You can get to them at www.wineloverspage.com.
