My buddy that owns Vintage Wines in San Diego thrust this sucker in my lil' hot mit and said try this with lunch (Upstairs). What a killer bottle of juice for 24.99. Ordering 2 boxes tomorrow and will post when I open again. DON'T miss this babe!!! WW 92/95

Welcome back, WW! Sounds like a winner. Hearing good things about Whitehall Lane's regular cab bottling as well, for maybe $1-2 more.

The missus and I are heading out to Napa/Sonoma in about a week--any other suggestions?

WW, what's your email? Don't see it in your profile, and the one I have for you is outdated, I believe. Mine's in my profile--

Hate to tell you, but guess what's on the cover of the 5/31/02 Wine Spectator?

I saw that too! Hopefully all 13,000 cases won't be gone by next weekend.

Looks like our very own WW is a good leading indicator--

Just picked up my 2 boxes today. Will make more detailed tastings next week. I forgot to make a post on purpose of the 99 Viader.
It ia destined to be a classic and should be hitting the shelves in the next 2-4 weeks. For those out there who can plunk down the 75-85 beanies per, this wine overwhelms Araujo, Screaming Eagle, Bryant Family, and Harlan for lots less dinero. A majestic bottle that invades your mind like Einstein, gives you sensuality like Sensimilion, and
leaves you wondering where you can get back in line for the next hit. Look for it at your nearest movie or vidio store.WW

ww!
Looking forward to your notes on the '99 Viader, as the last two were pretty exciting! Those of us, from our Wine Bunch, who enjoyed the the Grand Red Tasting in Feb. (Midwest, Mpls) thought the Pine Ridge was a good value too!

WW,

I picked up 2 of the 99 Viader in NYC on "buzz" alone about a month ago, and have yet to try them, but feel much better with your blessing. Found 'em in the range you mentioned, and just might go get some more.

For some reason the distributor of Viador here in the valley is always a month behind in bringing the wine into our market. As her wines drink so beautifully young I'll open one when I receive my box. WW

Visited my local discounter this morning, in search of the Pine Ridge Cab. He pointed to a half-case on the floor that was already sold at $51.99 per bottle! And that's all he received from the distributor. Bummer! Had to be content with a few more bottles of Fat Bastard Shiraz and a give-away Sonoma Cab called Coyote Creek ('97, $7.99). Anybody had that critter?

Gil...I've had the '97 Coyote Creek Cab and IMHO not good. I hope the one you have hits the mark.

Thanks, Drew. I figured the price was too good to be true. Glad I only bought one bottle.

Sent to you Gil-ole spare-rib. If anyone needs my E-Mail please post and I'll send it. Had a very nasty experience last year so didn't put in my profile this year. WW
