Recently I acquired a bottle of 1979 Columbia (Yakima Valley) cab crafted by winemaker David Lake. I am curious to know if anyone might be able to offer some insight into this vintage and whether or not you would even open this bottle. In other words, will this bottle be friendly to my "buds" or will I be begging for a back up bottle? Thanks in advance for your help.

Also have a bottle of 1983 Columbia cab that was given to me. comments...

Thanks Bucko! That's what I thought. I'll save those for the in-laws.
