1999 Karl Lawrence

I got on the mailing list for Karl Lawrence for some reason a while ago. Now, I got this allocation invitation recently and I really know nothing about the winery or the wines. Anybody have any experience with the wines? From what little I can glean, they're a decent Cab, but are they worth the $45 when there are so many more wines out there?

I have really enjoyed KL Cabs in the past. A good value to boot. Not the price is creeping up plus I hear some negative comments on their 99 offering, but in fairness I have not tasted it.

Hi KC. I too haven't tried too many wines from the 99 vintage but have had spotty results from my KL experiences. I would imagine you'd be able to buy this later locally from someone at a better price. The only wines I buy anymore from mailing lists are those that I know will never see the light of day on a retailers shelf. WW

Hmmm. I think I'll pass on this one then. We're on enough mailing lists that we won't be kicking ourselves later if we don't have it. Thanks for the info.
