One of my buddies that made up a fourth of the original BAWDIES (bad-assed-winos-drinking-oeniphile-sxxx) has been declared completely clean of Hepatitus 3 so we're reunited in our qwest to cleanse the planet of ALL derivatives of the grap[e scourge. So Steve and his Sat Squeeze, Sharan and Mike C, CB and Moi' converge at me residence last nite and Steve brunged the goodies. He musta thot I'd said ittad' be a week-ender as he showed up with a CASE(that be 12 bottles there Buck-Snort). 1st out of the chute was one I'd never had or for that matter had never heard of....1959 Marques De Murrieta Rioja Gran Reserve Especial. The finish was longer than the name. Next out of the box was a 94 phelps Insignia Nuff said. 3rd was the 94 Dominus. Then came a 94 Pahlmeyer followed by a 95 Justin Isosocles which was out of its league in this company followed by 97 Screaming Eagle and then a complete infanticide of a 95 Haut Brion. This morn I found a 3/4 full bottle of 97 Chimney Rock 3 Sisters that I have no idea whenced it was opened. Ebberbody musta left as there haint no corpses on the couch. Did we have FUN? I don' have a clue but I'll try it agin and take better notes. HAPPY to alla' youse guys. WW

You have fun.

BTW, Murrieta is one of our favorite wineries, though we've only had their Gran Reservas going back to '89. That one must have been a real treat!
