After finding several of the 96s' far more accessible than I'd envisioned, this bugger brought me back to reality. Reluctant nose. After 1 hr grudgingly gave up a hint of Napa fruit.Angular, entry kinda' hard, muscular center and a finish shut down by the tannin-monster. Hiding the rest for 2-3. WW

I haven't had many but the Markhams I've experienced all needed extra sleep time compared to other peers of the same vintage.

The 94 is one of my 10 top picks of the vintage. Silk personified with a nose that Liz would love to lay claim to. Has drunk beautifully since day one and has enough supple tannins to carry it for 10 more. WW (I know I've posted on that sucker,'haint I?)
