I would like to know if the bottles of this wine are worth anything. They are from the last year Wildwood Vineyards produced a cabernet. They were bought out by Sebastiani Vineyards the next year. The date is either 1978 or 1979. I have them in a safe deposit box and can't remember which year, but it was the last production before the sale of the vineyard. If you could give me any information I would be greatly appreciative.

Last I heard, the Kundes still owned Wildwood Vineyard. Richard Kunde grew up there as a child, and they still own it. I'm not sure if anyone else does, but I do know Alderbrook uses grapes from there. It's entirely possible they made a Cab way back when, but I know nothing about it.

Most of the 78s and 79s' even from the top producers are over the hill. I've never heard of storage in a safe-deposit box! WW
