Had 3 stunning cabs at lunch yesterday. First one was a 95 Dehlinger.wonderful juice ,lots of fruit.I would say this pretty much a ready to drink now.A wonderful bottle. Tom knows how to make great wine. 2nd one was a 95 shafer napa.WW you need to post on this one.For me ,the mind is the first thing to go.The third bottle was Viader 95.This was big, bold, and beatiful.lots of chocolate with cinnamon.extremly well balanced.Made with approx 50 %cab/sav and 50% cab franc, this wine had an unbelievable finish.on the ww scale I rate this 4.5 lapper.this wine just kept on with flavor long after you took a drink. I would have to say it has been a long time since I have tasted a wine with such a long finish.I understand that this wine comes from about 14 acres at the foot of Howell mnt.The vineyard is planted vertical on the hill. on my scale I rate it a big 10 out of 10.Great company and great juice.

the 2nd wine was the Shafer SLD. Medium ruby. Floral nose with lots of brite fruit. The taste was of red bing cherries, cassis and a tad of vanilla. Tight structure that is about at its peak. Nice juice. 90. Agree with BRWs' description of the other 2 wines we had. The Viader is, and has been, a must-buy every vintage killer wine. WW
