Last night we had the 1993 Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon, Horseshoe/Young Foster. This ATP release was made from two vineyard lots that were not included in the '93 Monte Bello. Intense nose of black cherry and cassis fruit, leather, spice, licorice, and just a hint of oak. Very nice in the mouth, too, with cassis and black cherry fruit, spice, licorice, leather, balanced oak, and pleasant herbal notes. A very well balanced wine that's drinking pretty well now, and should hit peak in about 2-4 years. Too bad it's my only bottle. Approx..88-90.
