Dinner tonight:
-Sauted Beef Tenderloin
-Fettuccine with asparagus and light lemon
cream sauce.

Perhaps a white?

Any kind of an Italian Rosato you can get your hands on; preferably a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo.

I'm not sure if what IK just suggested fits this or not, but I would suggest an Italian red with some acid. I think.

Thanks for the help, but I'm afraid we went wineless last night. I forgot to bring my wine key and my friends didn't own one. Dinner was great though.
When I went looking for the Rosato, I couldn't find one, and the person at the store didn't know what I was talking about either... is it the same as a Rosso?

Rosso is red. Rosato is rose. Find yourself a new wine store. There are many excellent ones in your fine city.

I had a hunch that a rosato was a rose until the wine lady had no idea what I was talking about. I think I WILL find a new store.
Thanks for the help.

Duane, no corkscrew! You might need to find a new set of friends too...
