Hi there everyone, I need some help and recommendations on the Blue Nun wines. Having a grilled chicken or crab cakes main dish this weekend and wanted to pair it with a lovely slurpee white that is semi-sweet and not dry. Would welcome your ideas. Thanks. TGIF

Baste the chicken with the Blue Nun, and get some Kabinett Riesling to drink with it.

Blue Nun is an inferior mass produced German white wine. If you don't believe me, go to your wine shop and buy a bottle of Dr. Loosen Reisling, or Chateau St. Michelle Reisling, about $13 where I shop, and try it.

The difference is astonishing.

Awesome Awesome Awesome wine!!! Got the 2003 Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling and it was divine. Never even took a second look at the Blue Nun bottle. Had the entire bottle and needed a second, so that tells you how much I enjoyes it. Thinking of making it my house wine. Really a lovely vintage and very clean, just my type of sweetness and brought out the nice spicy flavor of my crabcakes. Thanks again! Oh, also an unbeatable buy @ $9.99 a bottle. Just fabulous!!!

also try "Erocia". It was created by Dr.Loosen at the Ch.ST.Michelle winery. A little pricey but well worth it. About $20.
