I could not figure out which board to post on. I found an old bottle of olallieberry wine and I have no idea exactly how old it is. On the side it says it is best to drink shortly after purchase. Is it ok to drink this? I assume it would be safe, but will it taste bad?

Hi Capn and welcome to the board. There's only one way to find out the answer and that's to pop the cork on that sucker. If it was bottled Tuesday it's probably fine, otherwise let your nose do the walking. WW

It is at least five years old. The brand is Chaucer. I just wanted to know if Olallieberry wine ever went bad.

All wines go bad, some just sooner than others.

As stated above, there is only one way to know if it's gone bad, but the chances are dim.

Welcome to the wine board. If you get the courage to pop it, let us know!
