I am in the process of researching the feasibility of a wine/liquor store in the state of Mississippi. Sorting through the cryptic documents provided by the state, it appears that you have to: Post a $5,000 bond, annual retailer's permit is $900, all inventory is purchased through the ABC, the ABC marks up all items by 27.5%, there is a $2.50/case handling fee, a $225 additional excise tax is added to any purchase over $5,000 and increments of $5,000.... Whew!!!

Just checking to see if this is typical of other states. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
