Why, the last of the 2000 Nouveau, of course!

Neither of us felt like cooking tonight, so we opted for an easy breakfast-style supper of the pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, bacon and coffee. The fading fruit of the Nouveau was salvaged by the blueberries, and the result was a very nice pairing.

I'm gonna miss that Duboeuf Nouveau! Easily put away two cases this time.

I'll keep that in mind, Hotwine, when I'm looking for something to drink, and I'm all out of orange juice!

Kir Royalles with lots of Cassis? Barolo Chinato (a Port like amaro made from real Barolo), Myrto (made from wild Myrtle berries on Sardegna), Bellinis with lots of raspberries, Glugwein (actually made with blueberries?????

I still have a vestigal part of my brain dedicated to "breakfast drinks" even though it's been thirteen years since I left N'Awlins, Roberto
