I bought a 98 Columbia Crest Merlot/Cab tonight at the local grocery store. I was intrigued by the flavors and started searching for some websites that mentioned it, so that I could see what others said about it.
What I found were several online vendors charging $11 a bottle. (One had a special of 10 but the regular price was marked 11 as well.) I bought it at the store for $7. So my question is do the online wine vendors charge too much or did I get a bargain?
Also, if anyone has any other comments on this wine, I'd love to hear them.
(I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section to post this message. I put it here since it had to do with wine pricing.)

Hi Patrick. Columbia Crest is both a quality producer and a mass marketed wine. Others in this category you can count on one hand, and they change as fast as conglomerates trade them around. When shopping for these wines, you can usually find your best deals in local supermarkets or discounters. Quality wine that is not mass marketed can often be found in the first place, and then best priced on the net.
