I'm a dutch student and am studying in Hungary at the moment. The hungarian wines, especially from the eger region(bulls blood) have interested me, because it's a nice wine for a payable price. I'd like to import some of these wines to the Netherlands, but have no idea how to do that. Is there somebody who can give me some advice?

Thanks in advance!

I have no firsthand knowledge of how to import wine into the Netherlands. However, there are some basic things you can do yourself to find your answer. First off, you should contact the government agency in the Netherlands that regulates alcoholic beverages and get answers to some questions. How many importers of a specific wine do they allow? If the wine you want to import is already being imported by someone else, there may be regulations that won't allow you to also import it. What licensing does your government require? What are the bonding requirements? What taxes are you required to pay to bring in a wine? There are many questions you need answered, and the best people to give you the answers are most likely those at the alcoholic beverage regulatory agency in your country.
