i received a wine for a wedding present and i need to know about it. Price and quality would help. 1971 GRAND VIN de CHATEAU LATOUR RED WINE. from france

1971 was a lousy vintage in Bordeaux. As such there are few 71 Latours around. I imagine someone can find you a price. My guess is 100 to 200 bucks. Wine Spectator's tasting notes basically tell you to drink this plonk now.

Bumpy12, welcome to the board. Herls is rite on about the vintage in general but there were 2 fine wines made, Petrus and Latour. I don't think it's quite in the plonk catagory.It is ready to drink and if you read back posts on values of single bottles the reply is usually " Drink Them Suckers " winoweenie
