We watched this documentary last night. The wife got a headache about halfway through from the shaky hand-held camera cinematography. It didn't bother me that much (I don't get motion sickness).

Very interesting. I especially liked the opinions of the old wine-maker in Burgundy.

Mr. Rolland, the internatinal consultant/expert, is an unctuous character, I thought. It seems that all he does is tell everyone how to speed up the fermentation by "micro-oxegenation" and then sits back to revel in his good fortune, laughing and smiling and raking in the dough.

The segment on Bob Parker was interesting as well, but didn't show me anything I did not already know.

It is a world dominated by money and tradition, that's for sure, which was why the South American segment at the end was so poignant.

I didn't like the movie, nor did Carole. Not very entertaining and mostly old news. Like you say, there were a few, mind you few segments that kept you from going to sleep.

I wouldn't say it was a total waste of time, but it sure wasn't Gone With the Wind.
