Some friends of mine have a vineyard abroad and their wine is very good. They would be keen to try and sell/market their wine in England/abroad and I wondered if I could try and help them or find out how they could do it. They are not in the EU.

I would appreciate any advice available.

Thanks.

Hi Suzzee, and welcome to the Wine Board. Rules here in the states vary from state to state, so you can imagine how ours would vary yours. Recommend finding a local importer. If your laws allow what our's don't, an importer/distributor, so much the better. One way of doing this is looking in the phone book for wine importers and or distributors/wholesalers. Another is to check with local retailers. If you can find a small local distributor they deal with chances are he/she deals with a small importer. That is the gist of it. It would be very difficult to do it all yourself.

If your country is anything like ours, the "Big Guys" won't touch it.
