Ok, so I have some friends that have a vineyard and they make the most incredible wine that is organic (no sulfurs, etc) it is incredible. You drink and you taste the wine and you don't feel the "bad" things that most people put in wine.
Any way, i would like to try and help them sell this incredible wine in the US how do i go about that??
is there a way to help them tap into this US market??
any help would be appreciated.
thanks!!

First of all, I think we need to know where your friends vineyard is located. If its in the USA, what state as well. They would need to apply for proper permits / liscenses with their individual state, as well as with BATF to be able to legally sell their wine.

If your buddies vineyard is located in another country, my recommendation would be to get in touch with some wine importers and negotiants. If the wine is as good as you indicate, turn them onto a few bottles, and they'll take care of the rest. They are the ones that have the importing liscenses, and can take care of the distibution once it's in the country. You may not make as much per bottle compared to marketing it yourself, but you'll likely be able to unload all your wine much easier. Let me know if you would like a list of some negotiants / importers, and I can mail them to you.

Perhaps some other members more experienced in this area than I am can give you some additional suggestions as well. Good luck!

WC, Think he made the original post on another thread where he wanted to know how he could import the wine. If the wine is a jewel, there are all kinds of importers that would be lining up to bring the wine in. Think this is another case of a buddy trying to do something that `aint to be.winoweenie
