There is a dish I frequently order at a local restaurant. This is how it is listed in the menu

Rosemary Baked Chicken - Fingerling Potatoes and Onion Jus

The chicken is very mildly seasoned with the rosemary, you almost have to think about it to notice it.

I am looking for a type of wine to order with this dish. I never eat much at one sitting so I will not be having salad or a starter dish with this. I am very new to wines so I refrain from ordering one during a meal, I usually just have Iced Tea. This particular restaurant has a wine that I enjoy very much but have never had with food. It is an Antinori Santa Christina. It is a 90% Sangiovese 10% Merlot blend. I was told this wine should be had in conjunction with lightly seasoned red meats.

If anyone could suggest a type of wine to order along with the chicken entree it would be greatly appreciated.

For the rosemary baked chicken, try a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio.

Sangiovese is the primary grape of Chianti. The small amount of Merlot would provide a softening affect that would improve the wine's usefulness with mildly-prepared red meat.

I've had good luck with a slightly off dry Washington State riesling with a similar dish.
