Meyer Wins Award

One of our own, in some ways, Danny Meyer has won the prestigious 2000 Gold Plate Award from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association banquet at the recent NRA blow out in Chicago. Danny knows more than a little about wine, as well as more than a little about running restaurants. He heads up the four restaurant Union Square Hospitality Group in New York. He was first selected for the 2000 Silver Plate in the independent restaurant category, and then won out over eight other Silver Plate winners from other foodservice categories for the Gold Plate Award.
