Please join Drink Great Wine as we join forces with Consorzio Cal-Italia, an organization of over 60 California wineries producing Italian wines, in a rare celebration of classic Italian wine varieties, both New and Old World and numerous California wineries who are dazzling American consumers with their latest Cal-Italian wine releases. The evening will feature three walk- around "Enotecas" or Italian wine tasting bars, representing the varieties Pinot Grigio, Sangiovese and Barbera with over 20 wines from the Consorzio Cal-Italia member wineries, as well as a seminar-style presentation with the founder of Consorzio Cal-Italia, Bob Cappuccino and several leading winemakers of this neo-Italian varietal movement, who will lead us through a blind tasting of three flights of Cal-Italian wines and their Italian wine counterparts (14 total). Featured gourmet food products will include Grace Baking Company Artisan Breads, Montibella Sausage Company, All Natural Gourmet Chicken and Turkey Sausages, Redwood Hill Farm Specialty Cheeses and La Tempesta Biscotti.

Cost: $60 before 1/15, $65 thereafter (reservations and advance payment required)
