Triangle Wine Experience Dinner with Landmark Vinehyards

Sorry for the extra letter in vineyards in the topic title.
Participated in two evenings of events in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area benefiting Frankie Lemmon School for children with special needs (cerebral palsy, autistic, Downs syndrome, etc.).
Thursday evening I went to Margaux Restaurant in northern Raleigh for a dinner with Eric Stern, winemaker at Landmark Vineyards, Kenwood, Sonoma County, California. Damaris Deere Ethridge, great, great granddaughter of John Deere purchased Landmark in 1989 and built a new winery facility. Not that I usually take my cue from Robert Parker, Jr., but he was quoted in "The Wine Advocate" as saying: "This winery remains one of the best kept secrets for outstanding Chardonnays as well as increasingly sumptuous Pinot Noirs."
We had two different Chards, two Pinot Noirs, and a Syrah from Landmark and Korbel N.V. Brut with dessert. Great food pairings. Details under Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah threads.
Friday evening was a pouring with all participating vinters (30+) at the Exploris Museum. I'll post brief notes on some of my favorite tastings tomorrow under Wine Events.
