The Boston Wine Festival, the most intricate food and wine festival in the country, enters its 15th year this January at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Wine enthusiasts and gourmets can take pleasure in the most irresistible opportunity to experience the marriage of world renowned wines with exquisite cuisine during the 15th Annual Boston Wine Festival.

The Boston Wine Festival opens on January 9, 2004 and continues through April 9, 2004. This celebration of wine and food features three or four events a week, including the favorites Battle of the Cabernets and Best of the Best, educational seminars by some of the world’s most talented wine professionals, and various wine and food pairing dinners that have become the signature of the festival.

Last year, the Boston Wine Festival attracted many of the most prestigious wineries, including Opus One, Joseph Phelps and Silverado. The 2004 Festival promises even more for wine experts and novices alike, with a spectacular line-up of events. Participating wineries in the 2004 Festival include Beringer Vineyards, Stags’ Leap, Guigal and Bonny Doon Vineyard. Special overnight room rates at the hotel will be available to attendees.

“More and more people are becoming interested in the wine industry. Our goal is to entertain and educate those people, and the Boston Wine Festival is a terrific way to do this,” said Paul Jacques, general manager of the Boston Harbor Hotel. “It is the ultimate food and wine experience.”

The events of the 2004 Boston Wine Festival will surely stimulate the imagination of renowned Chef Daniel Bruce, the creative mind behind this three month long festival. Chef Bruce’s culinary expertise is showcased in his flawless pairing of food and wine which has brought on the success of the nationally acclaimed festival and of the Boston Harbor Hotel.

“The Boston Wine Festival is one of the most exciting times of the year,” said Daniel Bruce, executive chef of the Boston Harbor Hotel. “I look forward to the challenge of creating new dishes that bring out the flavor of the selected wines.”

The luxurious Boston Harbor Hotel is located at Rowes Wharf overlooking Boston’s historic waterfront. With 230 guestrooms, this grand hotel is a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and has been awarded “Best Hotel, General Excellence” by Boston Magazine for 2002 and one of the “World’s Best Places to Stay,” in the 2003 Gold List by Condé Nast Traveler. For more information, please contact the Boston Harbor Hotel at 617-439-7000 or visit the web site at www.bhh.com. The hotel has been home to the Boston Wine Festival since 1990.
