1982 Ducru Beaucaillou, Act Two

This is the second time that I've had this wine and I've been fortunate both times, the bottles have been positively brilliant.

The first one came out of a cellar of a long time collector who could identify it on taste. The bottle was popped and poured. This time it was a single bottle gift from someone else. Popped and poured. Fully mature but still youthful fruit as the primary note, then followed quickly by cedar, earthiness, tobacco, and then you notices it's lush texture. Really lovely bordeaux, all that it is meant to be, the nose, the balance, the vibrancy still after all these years.

Certainly a bit softer now but the primary fruit and lush lush texture are completey rememberable. But there is no reason to wait.

5 cases!! I don't think I'll see that many BTW hope to pop an 05 soon just to check in....
