Please Help/1992 Baron Philippe de Rothschild

Just trying to figure out what this bottle might be worth, it was given to me and I could use the money. I would not think it is an expensive bottle because it was given to me but it is a 92 and from what I have gathered Rothschild is a prominent brand. I have looked all over the internet trying to find it and have only found one person selling the same bottle and it was going for $450 I believe, (I do not know if that is a good or bad thing that I cant find it, I would think even cheap wine I would be able to find information on) and I have found other bottles from Rothschild around the same year going for a lot but I have no idea if that actually means anything because I know almost nothing about wine, so if anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. It is a 1992 Baron Philippe de Rothschild Bordeaux from the Medoc

Hi Slaughter and welcome to the board. I really doubt the the person trying to get 450 for this bottle will be successful. A lot of the novices that get a bottle like to put a 450.00 price on a 4.50 cent bottle. This bottle has no value. Sorry but you cant make a silk purse from the sows' ear. Now put Lafite or Mouton in front of the Rothschild and it would be a bargain. Sorry. WW

Unfortunately WW is correct. Your bottle has very little value and frankly may not even be drinkable now. Now if it was chateau Lafite Rothschild or Chateau Mouton Rothschild, then it could be worth some money but yours is not these bottles.
