2009 Chateau Paloumey
First up on the Thanksgiving lineup is a wine I tried at a wine store and ended up taking a case of it home. This is a very nice QPR wine. This is a classically constructed bordeaux. It is a nicely complex, medium plus bodied, minerally (for those that like that in their bordeaux and I do), good fruit, great texturel, nicely structured and balanced wine. Lovely nose on opening, palate follows per above, good ripe berries, hint of tobacco, minerals, etc.. Great way to start Thanksgiving.
