This is a delightful over the to top fruity Barbera that is available at a very reasonably price. Last Friday night we match it with gnocchi in casserole with fresh tomato sauce and shredded Kasseri cheese; and salad mostly from our garden.

Barbera is a dark-skinned red grape variety found in several Italian wine regions, including its native Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia and Campania.
