2010 Coyote Bowl Merlot

2010 was poor vintage in the Oakanagan but this wine's nose was attractive, berries, slight herbs on the nose, clean. I had initially thought 'Great! someone finally let a light vintage be a light vintage and not over compensate.' Oh where did it go wrong,.....

This wine was over extracted, over oaked for the tannins, when it should have been left as a light and austere wine reflecting the vintage. Clipped finished and just splinters left in my mouth.
