2011 Lapierre Morgon

First Lapierre since the old man passed away. I was worried a bit because of that.

But, wow. this is still a great wine. Still rich and dense, lovely fruit and smooth textural. The parts that are the complexity, bit of the balance, but that may be more attributed to vintage than the wine itself.

I should say it's my first lapierre since the Mr. Lapierre passed away. His last vintage was 2009 which was absolutely impressive. I only have one bottle left and I'm leaving that alone for at least 10 years.
