2010 Gaja chardonnay, Gaia & Rey
I've had this wine on other vintages before but while they were good, they were never this good.

This wine , with a beautiful pale straw color, had an absolutely explosive nose, with so much going on at the same time. On the palate, this is a large scale chardonnay. very smooth, but also very structured with a nice acidic backbone that lends to its elegance. This thing is extremely drinkable, frankly quaffable,...but at $200 a shot, I'd be sipping more. Really lovely stuff.
