True Confessions
Confessions of paranoia.

When we first transferred the forum back to Wines.com, I was inundated with hundreds of new "registrations" for the board, all from spammers.

They didn't make it on the board but the registrations awaiting my "approval" grew at a truly astonishing rate for several days. That's when I decided we need a captcha solution that the spammers couldn't beat. So I put that in place.

Then around a couple of weeks ago i got an email from Jane, saying she couldn't register. So I fixed it -- or so I thought.

Then yesterday, I got another email from Jane -- bless her heart -- who had not given up but was still unable to register and frustrated, of course.

Well, today -- FINALLY -- I found my error. I had actually TWO captchas working and the codes were conflicting. Bottom line, no could register no matter how hard they tried.

I see that at least ten people solved the puzzle and got no further. To those people, my sincere apologies. I think this is the 2nd time I've had to apologize for this. But there it is! Shucks. Darn. Think I'll go eat some worms.....

Anyway, I BELIEVE the issue is resolved now once and for all. I owe Jane a big thanks for her tenacity and contacting me.

Many thanks Jane. Hope to see you here soon.

Jackie
