1995 Ridge Monte Bello

This was a treat.

Just starting to reach maturity for me. color is starting to show this too. This wonderful wine is warm to the smell, like an autumn date, mint, eucalyptus, cedar, some smokiness, earthiness. then when you are satisfied, the nose moves onto reminent of raspberry, dried cherries, etc. Nice complexity, nicely resolved tannins but far from over the hill. This one should hold hopefully like this for some time to come.
