What, pray tell, happens to that wizened, little old bod that prompts you to go on a sabbatical??

Was doing swimmingly until a dear friend from Pasadena and family came into town so his elder son could compete in the Ironman race in Tempe last week-end. Makes me tired just typin' "Ironman". Anyhoos met for lunch yesterday at the club and my willpower went south. Took 3 bottles 2 of which I've reported on lately....the 02 Silver Oak and the 06 Tapestry. The 3rd was a bottle of the 97 Ristow Estate which was really swinging for the fences. Great food, great wine and neat folk!!!! A lovely Tuesday for all. Happy Turkey All! WW
