Winemakers from Oregon are clearly making a distinction of their wines as more Burgundian from their Chardonnays being bright and acidic to their Pinots which exhibit forest floor and minerality. What do you guys think? Is Oregon really producing Burgundian style wines and do you think they have the cellar capacity as some of the older Burgs? Reason I ask is that Im starting to collect Pinots and Burgundies are way to inflated. :?:

Saying Pinots from Oregon are good or bad, is like saying Cabs from California are good or bad. There is a huge variation from vineyard to vineyard, from winery to winery, and most especially from vintage to vintage in the same vineyard and winery.

When Wonders reappears here she can give some solid recommendations.
