1999 Oddero Barolo

Picked up a 1/2 dozen of these recently as I've been rather happy with many '99 Italians of late. This is a reasonable wine, perhaps a bit on the simple side but a serviceable barolo. Good floral nose, still decent structure, some fruit but good persistence and balance but definitely on the lighter side of barolo so unless its this batch is unique, I'd recommend that you try one if you have one of these. mine are being put to the top of the consume this year area as they are not likely to improve any bit.
