I'm sorry thta I've not been on the forum for a few days. It's been a very long trip so far to get to the points that we have and also take into account some basic logistical needs....like sleep. But I wanted to give everyone just a quick update on the trip so far.

Been to Champagne, Burgundy and have just stated in Bordeaux yesterday. The tours have been very different, depending on whether you were able to make personal tour requests or whether they jus tput you into the regular tour schedule.

So far in Champagne, I've been able to see, Tattinger, Veuve Clicquot, Mumm's, Moet & Chandon, and Pommery. I'll list each later but just wanted to name drop. Also saw a few grower champagnes such as Mailly (which is the coop for the Grand Cru area Mailly).

In Burgundy, we met with Alex Gambal, Louis Latour, Herbert Lignier, one of the Pillot family, Comte Senard (a holder of a monopole amongst others) and in Chablis, Christian Moreau and his son Fabien.

In Bordeaux so far, one day we saw Troplong Mondot, Pape Clement and Lynch Bages. One comment, we had a barrel sample of the 2010,...it was insane. You normally cannot drink barrel samples. We could have had this with dinner and it was very nice.

I'll posts notes when I get a chance but today off to Pontet Canet, Pichon Lalande and Branaire Ducru.
