Hello all,
I am a newbie to the wine world. Actually, I have always enjoyed drinking wines, but am a total noob to learning about and collecting them. I have four bottles of wine and am hoping that someone can please recommend storage conditions and time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. 1997 Chateau Suau - AOC: Premieres Cotes De Bordeaux. (Is this a "drink now"?)
2. 2000 Chateau De Mignot - AOC: Saint-Estephe
3. 1999 Baron St Hubert (Jean-Luc Aegerten) - white burgundy AOC: Bourgonge
4. 2001 Chateau Pedesclaux - AOC: Puillac

Thanks again!
[This message has been edited by SPAC-Piper (edited 01-06-2006).]

ALL wines should be stored at 55 degrees with about 60% humidity and NO UV intrusion. Looks like you have three bordeauxs and one burgundy. The burgundy is a white and probably should be drank now to the next few years. The three bords may be able to take a few years storage but are probably fine to drink now. The folks that are more versed in bords will speak up on those with better advice.
If you're looking to get into wine drinking a little bit. I recommend the wine cooler I own a 24 bottle Vinotemp. Its relatively inexspensive (about $200) and keeps fantastic temp and humidity). That will allow you to keep your wines in good condition.
I stick to wines I can drink in the next few years as I don't have the money, space, or patience to put down a lot of wines for years to come.
Barnesy
