Who ever said Texas cannot make good wine doesn't know squat. Dan Gatlin is one of the finest wine makers in Texas. Granted the wines are pricey ($25-35/bottle), they are cellar worthy and very beautiful tempranillos and tempranillo/cabernet blends. The 2008 Cornelious has a lovely floral nose, cedar and spice. Clean finish excellent acidity and balance and a LONG finish. Lovely dark fruits persistent on the palate. Worth the buy IMHO...
