Question for Foodie

Just wondering - Who wrote the copy for the Wine Country Cooking book? Got it for Christmas and was scanning through it quickly last night when something caught my eye. In the chapter on Chardonnay, it describes the tropical quality of the fruit and mentions that "you can feel the palm trees sway, hear the pineapples fall from the trees, and taste lush mango-like fruit." Do you see anything a bit unusual in that line?

Don't exactly know who wrote the copy--the whole book is an amalgamation of writing and editing. But as the copy editor, I should have caught something like that--and didn't!

In my defense, however, I know that some other bromeliads do grow on trees.

If I had not been to the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, I would never have known about pineapples and them not growing on trees so if foodie is appealing to the normal reader, then he at least satisfied my needs.

He he he... For the first time ever in Belize I saw my first pineapple plant. Just three years ago. Pretty cool actually.

Drew, I've spent a lot of time in Hawaii and Tahiti and those trees must be about 1/4 inch high.

Foodie, Methinks you should start picking that green stuff off those trees around you.
