So Tom, (my husband of less than a month) and I are in the A&P bright and early yesterday morning. Tom likes to use the motorized cart to shop. While we were in line to pay, I was first and he was behind me in the scooter. He went to lift a case of soda onto the belt, somehow got his elbow caught in the cart mechanism and proceeded to RUN ME DOWN! Yes, that's right. He knocked me right on the floor with the freakin' cart! I wasn't badly hurt, but pretty shaken up and bruised a bit, not to mention embarrassed. I told him there was no sense in trying to kill me yet; I still haven't signed him as my beneficiary. (and I could have sworn I heard "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" playing over the store speakers....)

Good grief, Grl! Maybe you should use a cart, too, just so you can defend yourself! Grateful you weren't badly hurt.

Did you hear about the lady in Tarboro, NC who was run down by a herd of deer (not reindeer but the more common kind.) She was outside her jewelry store on the main street and heard the hooves. One deer knocked her down and several more ran over her--minor bruising.
