Hey all,

I've grown tired of the "foodie" handle.

Am going to change to my real name. Don't know how to do it yet, but will find out.

Well,

it can't be done through the Profile change. So, I'll need Alex to tell me what to do.

Alex?

We won't know you!

Different subject - heads up on a good article on Bloomberg this morning about indigenous Italian grapes. Thought of you and your writings immediately.

Read it. Interesting that our store, is-wine, was selling many of these wines years ago.

In fact, Lagrein is among my favorite Italian reds. But I'm one of those who never cottoned to Lacrima di Morro d’Alba; something to do with its fruit character, although we sold a good volume of it at the store.

Lombardia's Ruche is truly hard to find, even in Italy. I have not tasted Pelaverga, knowingly. I might have when last in Lombardia, but so many times the house wine remains unidentified.

Oliver McCrum, mentioned in the article, as IK already knows, is quite a knowledgeable fellow in Italian wine. He'd make a great addition to this forum.

I can check with Jackie about a name change. Personally I love Foodie. Perhaps a transition name like Thomas (Foodie) until all are aware? Its got to be do-able...
