A few years ago you recommended Allegra to combat the histamine problems with wine. Lately, I've been hearing of a few other remedies, and I'd appreciate your take on them. They're Zyrtec, Flonase and Beconase. Any thoughts?

Flonase, Beconase, Nasonex, Nasalcort and the like are nasal steroids. They help with allergies but are not an antihistamine.

Zyrtec is an antihistamine, but it can cause drowsiness in some people, more so than Allegra, Claritin or Clarinex (from my experience anyway).

Thanks. I guess I'll just stick with the Allegra or Claritin.
