Any way to "pin" a thread?

Hello Moderators,

I might have asked this question before, forgive me if my CRS is kicking in, but isn't there a way to "pin a thread?".

Here is a link to a handyman board I belong to and it's UBB also - although a higher version.

If we could pin two threads - one on sweet wine recommendations and the other on the varietal list that would help us tremdously.
