She had me ripping up vinyl flooring in the laundry room, to be replaced with Italian tile. Was doing well to sneak a peek now and then at A&M's game with Pitt. Gig 'em.

Had to slog out to the back shed for some tools, passing by the wine cellar; had laid a walkway of salvaged terra cotta tile a few days ago, and that came in handy with TS Fay dumping a couple inches on us today. Stopped by to retrieve a Cline Syrah for supper, to save making another trip out there later. It does pay to plan ahead, you know (hic).

BTW, there's a great Beetle Bailey comic strip in our local paper today - BG Halftrack with a wine hangover (the "Wrath of Grapes"). That one will be stuck onto the fridge.

Brick walkway came in handy yesterday, as the stream re-appeared this side of the wine cellar, after a total of 6.8" of rain in two days from remnants of TS Fay. But I need to lay a little culvert mid-way; the water was flowing a good 6" deep over the walk. (Hehe, lovin' ever' drop!) (How come all them critters are pairin' up? So tell me agin, what's a cubit?)
