Hi, all! I was driving back from South Coast Winery (in Temecula, CA), of which I am now a "member", and I was thinking of you guys. Just a few days ago I took Jeff and his parents wine tasting in Temecula (where we recently moved). Jeff and I have joined a wine club because we have grown to love wines (yes, him too!!!!!) and we understand now what we're tasting. I owe this all to you guys! I came here when I didn't know anything about wines. You guys recommended the Dummy's guide, which I read (it helped me so much). And you have answered my questions so patiently and thoroughly, with such an approachable attitude. I may not understand your humor all the time (WW), but I sure love visiting the board even if I am just lurking!

And a very special thanks to IK for introducing me to wine-tasting. I would've never known it could be so casual/relaxed and low-pressure. What a fantastic experience! I now find myself making comments about a wine like "That was like water. It was quite boring. I prefer a more complex wine." I would never have been able to express that had it not been for that wine-tasting experience when you and Bev came out here!

Anyways, I'm getting all sappy on you. But I was driving home from the winery and thinking of you guys, and I thought I should share my gratefulness with you guys!

Yours,
Elizabeth

Thanks Liz. Just made a flying ( fast ) trip to San Diego. Your experience makes all this thumping this dumb keyboard worth while. WW
