I am planning to move our site, including the WineBoard, to a new server within a week or so. I am very unhappy with the level of service I've been getting from our current hosting company. This may interrrupt our WineBoard communications for a day or so -- I hope it will not be longer.

I will try to minimize the impact -- but cookies, lightbulbs etc. could well be affected.

Sorry for the inconvenience but I've had it with our current host. They give me nothing but grief while cashing my checks for several hundred dollars a month. I am hoping the changeover will be worth it in the end when I can get better support to expand the site and add new programs/features.

Thank you everyone for understanding. I will try to give as much notice as possible. I am hoping it will be worth it in the end.

Jackie

Do what you gotta do, Jackie. I feel your pain.

At is-wine I am pulling out what little hair I have left over poor service on the Net. I suppose the problem is endemic in an industry that grew too fast and is controlled mostly by computer nerds with little else in their repertoir.

I wish this were a fait accompli but I have not yet begun the move. I was unceremoniously thrown in the hospital last Tuesday by my doctor and they kept me a full week.

This is the first I've heard that the site was down a half day. It was not my doing. And the ISP is closed (5:30) now and has not notified me or sent any info.

This is exactly why I decided to move to a new ISP. We will get there. Thank you for your patience.

Jackie
