Thanks for the well wishes. My post on the wine events thread, and now this one, are the final until I make it home in November.

But I did manage to find a couple of places that served a reasonable soup de poisson. One of the places is Les Deux Garcons, a restaurant in Aix en Provence that MFK Fisher frequented when she lived there--pretty good food, pretty high prices. Nothing like it was when MFK resided, but nice anyway. After the soup, had a fine Banyols red with lunch of "raviole escargots a la provencale."

For our final lunch in the Provence region we had yet another soup de poisson (good) and grilled calamare (their version of squid is quite a large one of the species) with a fine Cotes de Ventoux rose.

Tomorrow we are off to Languedoc-Roussillon with stops in Corbieres and Banyuls on the agenda. After that, Paris for decompression and then home.

Keep this board active and keep the debate up while I'm gone--so's I can have something to get riled about when I return.
