Haven't checked the place out for awhile so Eileen and I, with 4 friends, are "heading down the ocean hun" with some wood for fireplace atmosphere and a bunch of wines. Will post as we're drinkin.... I deputized WW to handle any and all uprisings on the board while I'm gone.

Not yet, and it looks like we won't. My sister in upstate New York is, and probably Foodie too.

I think it was mostly Syracuse and north that got hammered - up by Oswego. I read that Oswego, Mexico and around there had over 100 inches fall this week - that's about NINE FEET!!! In contrast, we've had 1.8 inches all winter.

Things are screwed up, KC. We've had a lot more snow than you this year, and it rarely snows here. Hell it rarely freezes here and we're had a lot of low teens.

Maybe Al Gore is right....

We use to live in Toronto and watch the Buffalo new channels. The area between Buffalo and Syracuse just get hammered each year as the cold air picks up the warm waters of Lake Ontario. so being on the right side of the wind and lake made all the difference. Same situation roughly with Chicago and Detroit. Chicago nothing, Detroit....ummm wheres my car???? that white hump???

Well, Detroit IS north of Canada, so they should get more snow.

Depending on the location 2-4 inches in Finger Lakes Wine County, and no sightings of the Foodster!
